Our training methods have been developed over many years of experience, and consistently produce results at the highest level.
We are willing to share our knowledge and provide ongoing support to people interested in the following: General care & welfare, safety issues, understanding behaviour and mentality, medical issues, specialised equipment, control methods, wild camel breaking, catching, leading, sitting, saddling, nose line training, towing, riding, fitness training, racing, wagon work, loading and transportation and more. Each course is based on individual requirements.
You can bring along your own broken, unbroken, or problem camels.
Assistance in sourcing, catching and transporting camels is offered on a cost per circumstance basis.
Cost per person, per intensely filled day is $250.
Accommodation (one star) and meals provided.
All we ask is that attendees behave in a safe and humane manner and are keen to share our passion.
We have been involved in the sport since 1997, racing in QLD, NSW & VIC. Producing champions such as Jasmine, Outlaw Bobaluie, Chief & Old Regi Boy. If you have never experienced Outback Australia, why not plan a holiday around the 3rd weekend in July, in time for the annual Boulia and Winton Camel Races.
Boulia in Central West Queensland offers free camping for the week surrounding the 3 day camel racing event. Friday night entertainment includes camel tagging, twilight camel racing & a band. 8 camel races heats are run over 400m & 1000m on Saturday & the biggest Cup finals in Australia are held on Sunday. Explore a multitude of attractions leading up to the Winton QLD Camel Races, the following Saturday. Then heard to the theme parks on the coast!
EXHIBITION CAMEL RACING
Interested in holding an outstanding, dynamic event, that is certain to attract massive public interest? Action Camels can provide 6 specialist racing camels, starting barriers & an exciting 5 race program. Camel jockeys can be supplied, or you may wish to create local support, through advertising for local horse riders (under 70kg) to compete as jockeys in the camel races.
Jockey training, racing silks, and helmets are provided. You must supply a 200-300m fenced racetrack, a large camping area away from horses, a race caller, and an Ambulance on course.
Cost for a 5 racer program - $7000. One single 2 camel display race is also an option as an added attraction to an existing event at a cost of $1500.

Action Camels are suppliers of highly educated camels, experienced in all facets of the camel industry.
Expert camel wranglers/performance trainers, specialists in rider and handler tuition. An extensive range of riding, racing, wagon, and transportation equipment is available for hire. We can source all personnel required for large jobs.

GROUP CAMEL RIDES & WAGON RIDES
Short camel rides for groups in excess of 10 people are offered.
A platform is used to mount and dismount the camels. Each ride goes for approximately 10 minutes, followed by an optional educational session and a unique photographic opportunity (B.Y.O camera).
All educational sessions are held by Australias leading camel trainers. The information provided has been acquired through over 20 years of direct experience in many facets of the camel industry. The subjects discussed are adjusted to suit the age group of attendees. They include camel features, age, diet, behaviour, mentality, special care, welfare, wild camels, breaking in processes,use of nose pegs, riding, wagon work, training, camel racing and more.
Group camel rides are ideal for bus tours, team bonding exercises, school excursions, adventure and educational organisations and family occasions. Bookings are essential. Short camel rides are $10 per person, all ages. NO EFTPOS or food sales.
